		Bandit Male Labrador Retriever Mix Currently living in foster care Hey!! I'm Bandit, an adorable, little, Black Lab mix puppy. I was part of an unwanted litter that was found at the Red Lake Reservation. I was transferred to Animal Ark with my brother, Smokey. I will need a family that has the time and patience to work with an active guy like me. I need help with house training and obedience training would also be a good idea, so I can grow up to be a good adult canine. 		Banjo Male American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living in foster care Hello!! My name is Banjo and I am a big SWEETHEART of a boy. I have had a pretty rough life and I am looking for someone who will love me and give me the wonderful, forever home I deserve. I am housebroken and crate trained, and I have been through basic obedience training. I listen very well to my foster Mom and I love to cuddle. I go on walks with other dogs but I would do best as the only pet, so I can get all the attention I deserve. I LOVE people. I came to the Animal Ark with my siblings, Harlow, Yogi, and Ted, as we were all part of an "accidental litter." I am a very happy little guy who is seeking a home that can offer me the training and socialization I need to become a good canine citizen. 		Bo Male Great Pyrenees Currently living at the Animal Ark Hastings shelter Hello there! I'm Bo. My last family didn't feel they could manage my breed instincts anymore after they had a new baby, so I will do best with people who are confident in their dog relation skills. I am really very sweet though and thought I was just doing my job in my last home, as Pyrenees were bred to help guard flocks and take on other 'tough' jobs for our people. I am a bit aloof when first meeting new people, which is common for my breed. I should not live with other dogs or cats. I should not live with small children either, as a lot of activity can make me nervous. I know some commands including sit, shake and down. I am housebroken and am used to taking walks on a Gentle Leader. 		Bo2 Male German Shorthaired Pointer/Coonhound Currently living at the Animal Ark Hastings shelter I am a sweet guy who would love a home that can provide me with lots of exercise. It's unknown how I would be with cats but my previous guardians reported that I am good with other dogs. I am already housebroken and know the commands "sit", "wait", "stay" and "come". 		Buckley Male American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Kiss, kiss! Hi! I am Buckley, a very friendly and outgoing guy. Believe it or not, the people I lived with moved away and left me behind! (Huh. Who would treat a friend like that?) Luckily, a local sheriff broke down the door to get me out! I was a little thin when I came here to Ark, but now I'm just right. (I had a little problem with my eyelid, but they fixed that right up, too.) I do very well with other dogs and am extremely gentle with puppies. It appears that I never had experience with children before coming to Animal Ark. I have done well with older children but I do not do well with small children. There's nothing I like better than hanging out with people, giving them lots of cuddles. (That's why I'm a favorite of the staff and volunteers here.) Because I am young, I need someone who will spend the time with me to help me grow into the perfect adult. Could you be that person? 		Cowboy Male St. Bernard/Labrador Retriever Currently living at the Hastings shelter Howdy!! I'm Cowboy, a great big bundle of dog!!! I am friendly and playful with adults but would not be appropriate to live with small children, as I am a big boy who could potentially knock over a toddler. I was an outdoor dog before coming to Animal Ark but have adjusted to living inside and appear to be potty trained. I already know how to sit, shake, come, lay down and stay, so that's a good start, right? I absolutely love to cuddle with any human who is near me. I'm tolerant of other animals, but I've only lived with my brother, Tibbs. The Ark Staff has separated us and my brother has found a new home, so I hope to have one soon, too! 		Diesel Male American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter I'm a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy. I'm playful, friendly and get along well with other animals. I've already been crate trained and I walk well on leash. I have not been neutered yet, so I can be placed on hold but cannot go home until that surgery is completed. 		Elizabeth Female English Setter Currently living in foster care You know, there are lots of dogs who like to party and play all day, and a lot of people like that. But me, well, I'm a different kind of dog. My name's Elizabeth and I'm a very sweet, quiet English Setter. I had a home for many years, but, when I started to go deaf, it became a problem because there were small children in my home who didn't know how to approach me without startling me. (I did great with a 12-year-old, though.) So, what I'm looking for is the kind of home that can appreciate my quiet, snuggly, calm manner. I'm very loving, housebroken and I'm not much trouble to have around. 		Jasmine Female Labrador Retriever Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hey, hey! You know how some people are a little bit old in age but not in their hearts? Well, I'm just like that! My name's Jasmine, and I'm a yellow Labrador Retriever who's a little gray in the face. Inside, though, I'm just a super well-behaved puppy! (Note that, although I might be coming up on 10 years old now, it's getting more common for us Labbies to live as long as 15 years. So we could still have lots of good times together!) I'm housetrained and will even tell you when I need to go out. I'm pretty bouncy and strong. The good news is that, if you don't like to take long walks with me, you can just keep throwing the ball for me and I'll be just as happy! (I LOVE playing fetch!)  I don't know about cats, but I do get along well with some dogs. My friends here say that, if you have a dog, you could bring your dog in and they will help you to introduce us and see whether we would do well as housemates. Like most Labs, I am just a happy, loving, cuddly girl who will do anything you ask. I already know "sit", "lay", "shake" , "spin" and "leave!" (Watch my video to see how good I am! 		Kramer Male Basset Hound Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hey there! I'm Kramer, an adorable Basset Hound mix. I was adopted for a day, but the family cat looked like more fun than I could resist, so the family had to return me to the shelter. I am a very nice guy and really liked the people I was with. It's hard to understand why I'm back here, but I hope that I'll find some new people to call my forever family, soon. My perfect new home would have people who are familiar with dogs and our language, as I can sometimes be possessive of my treats and toys. I cannot go to a home with kids and I should not try living with a cat again, but other dogs are good company. I CAN BE SEEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY WITH MY TRAINER. 		Louie Male Bichon Frise Currently living at the Hastings shelter I am a very nice, little guy who is seeking a very special home. I am diabetic, so I get insulin twice each day. However, I don't mind and it really isn't a big deal. I like to play with other dogs and have lived with children. I do okay with children, over the age of 10, who are respectful of me and my toys. I was recently adopted from Animal Ark but was returned for being too protective of my people and my food. I need more time, stability and attention than my previous family could give me. They loved me very much but because of ill family members and strained resources, they were unable to keep me. 		Louie 2 Male Labrador Retriever Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hello. My name is Louie and I am a handsome yellow lab. I am very active and eager to please. Let me also mention that I also know several commands like sit, stay, shake, heel and I even know what "kennel up" means. I would do best as the only dog in your household. I would do okay with children over the age of 12, as I can get too protective of my food and toys, something small children would not understand. My favorite toy is the chuck it, which means that I absolutely love to play fetch. I would not do well in a home with felines. 		Lucy Female Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi! My name is Lucy! I'm a black and white, older dog, but you wouldn't know my age by how I love to play. In fact, I'm told it was hard to get a photo of me, because I couldn't stop playing with my ball long enough to look at the camera (must be the Labrador in me!)! I'm playful with children, but I do jump on people in all my playfulness. I'm tolerant with cats but am choosy with my dog friends. I have played with another dog here, so it would be possible for me to live with another dog. My family of ten years left me and I'm anxious and sad at this time. 		Lucy 2 Female Beagle/American Foxhound Currently living in foster care Hey there! I'm Lucy, a pretty, sweet and affectionate lady. I'm looking for someone who knows how to have fun and more fun! I love activity and am told I'm a very smart girl by my foster Mom. She also says I have a good sense of humor. I hope I can find a home with people who are familiar with canine shenanigans, as I can be somewhat of a jokester! If you have other dogs in your home, I will need to meet them before an adoption can be approved. I prefer the company of males to other females. I probably should not live with cats but I would think it would be okay if there were older kids in a new home. 		Matlock Male Yorkshire Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi! My name is Matock. I am a smart little guy who loves attention and going for walks. I have never been around cats, so I don't know if I like them or not. I tolerate other dogs, but can be cautious and may decide I don't like every dog I meet. I cannot go to a home with children who are very small and may be tempted to get too close for comfort. I prefer the company of people who are mature and more experienced with small dogs. I probably would not be a good fit for someone who has not had a dog before. I am a very intelligent boy and would do best with a family that can provide me with enough structure to help me understand what's appropriate in life and what's not. 		Mia Female Shepherd Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi. I am Mia, a very sweet and gentle, Shepherd mix gal. I came to the Animal Ark from Red Lake Rosie's Rescue, after my owner could no longer care for me. I love to have my tummy rubbed and I walk pretty well on leash. I appear to do well with all people. However, it is unknown how I would be around other animals. I am a little bit overweight, but nothing that some good exercise couldn't cure! Therefore, I'm looking for a family who is willing to provide me with some play time and walks! I'm a wiggly gal waiting for a forever place to call my own! 		Muppet Female Pug/Shih Tzu Currently living in foster care Hi! I am Muppet, a sweet and friendly "Pug-zu." I am a very happy little girl who loves the company of adult people. Because I only do well with adults, I cannot go to a home with children under the age of twelve. I came to the Animal Ark after my owner could no longer care for me, due to health issues. I do well with other dogs and lived with a teenage kitten before, too. I walk well on leash and appear to be nearly house trained. When I first arrived at Animal Ark, the veterinarian here examined me and found my right hip was badly injured. On December 7th I had surgery to repair my injured hip. I was originally adopted from Animal Ark as a puppy and was recently returned, as my owners stated they did not have adequate time for me. I am housebroken, crate trained and love to be outside with people. I weigh just over 100 pounds and am seeking an experienced dog owner who is looking for a big bundle of energy. I love to play with other dogs, but have no experience with cats. I am friendly and playful with people I know well, but do require a slow introduction to new people. I AM NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. 		Paco Male Labrador Retriever Mix/Newfoundland Currently living in foster care I am a very large guy, looking for a forever home. My previous guardian, my dog sibling and I were in a bad car accident and the truck caught on fire. Sadly, my person did not survive but we did, albeit, I have burn scars that will never go away. Because I didn't have anywhere to go following all of that trauma, a nice couple provided me with a safe haven. 		Racina Female Cocker Spaniel Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi! I am Racina, a friendly and outgoing Cocker Spaniel gal. I came to the Animal Ark with my daughter, Molly, after our owner was hosptialized. Molly has been adopted, but I am still looking for a home. I am very playful and like to go for walks. I am housetrained, when provided with a consistent schedule. Cockers need regular grooming. I seem to have some skin allergies, so I may need to be on a grain free food and would need to be bathed on a regular basis. I haven't had much experience with children or dogs, other than Molly. My previous family had more dogs than they could care for, so some nice people took me into foster care. I'm housebroken and already crate trained. 		Tigger Female Cockapoo Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi! I am Tigger, a very sweet and friendly Cockapoo gal. I am comfortable around people of all ages and have had experience with other dogs, too. I would prefer meeting any new canine family members before adoption though, just to be sure I like them.
