		Aaron Male Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hello! I am Aaron, a cute little terrier mix boy who is looking for a new home. I was impounded at Shamrock Animal Hospital and never reclaimed by my owner. I am somewhat timid when I first meet someone. However, I warm up quickly, once I am comfortable with you. I am a very active and playful boy who weighs about fifteen pounds. It is unknown how I would do with other animals or children, as I was found as a stray. 		Banjo Male American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living in foster care Hello!! My name is Banjo and I am a big SWEETHEART of a boy. I have had a pretty rough life and I am looking for someone who will love me and give me the wonderful, forever home I deserve. I am housebroken and crate trained, and I have been through basic obedience training. I listen very well to my foster Mom and I love to cuddle. I go on walks with other dogs but I would do best as the only pet, so I can get all the attention I deserve. I LOVE people. 		Bo2 Male German Shorthaired Pointer/Coonhound Currently living at the Hastings shelter I'm a loveable, sweet guy who needs a home that can provide me with lots of exercise. I'm a busy boy! I'm usually stirring around in my kennel after everyone else is bedded down for the night, but I'm very quiet about it. I'm not sure how I would be with cats, but I have lots of dog friends here at the shelter. I love to play with other dogs!! My previous owner ran a home daycare, and said I didn't do well with lots of small children around all day. I might be okay with a family rather than a day care. 		Bronson Male German Shepherd Currently living in foster care Hi! My name is Bronson and I have had a rough start in life. I was found in Red Lake with a mangled back leg. I was brought to the Cities, where surgery was performed and my leg was amputated. I am doing really well and will soon be able to get around just as well as my four legged friends. 		Bubba Male American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi!! I am Bubba! I was adopted from Animal Ark six and a half years ago but was recently returned, as my family had a new baby and didn't feel I could adjust to living with an infant. I am friendly and playful with all types of people, although my experience with children is limited. I'm crate trained, housetrained and walk well on leash. I know the basic commands sit, shake, down, leave it and off. Not bad, if I do say so myself! I do not do well with other animals, so I am seeking a home where I can be the only pet. 		Cowboy Male St. Bernard/Labrador Retriever Currently living at the Hastings shelter Howdy!! I'm Cowboy, a great big bundle of dog!!! I am friendly and playful with adults but would not be appropriate to live with small children. I was an outdoor dog before coming to Animal Ark but have adjusted to living inside and appear to be potty trained. I already know how to sit, shake, come, lay down and stay, so that's a good start, right? I absolutely love to cuddle with any human who is near me. I'm tolerant of other animals, but I've only lived with my brother, Tibbs. The Ark Staff has separated us and my brother has found a new home, so I hope to have one soon, too! 		Duke Male American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Bow Wow! I am Duke, a very playful and active brindle boy. I do well with other dogs but do not have any experience with children or cats. I have had a rough start in life. I lived in several different homes, none of which could provide me with a stable environment or consistent training. I am a very smart boy who is eager to please and would excel at obedience classes. 		Elizabeth Female English Setter Currently living in foster care You know, there are lots of dogs who like to party and play all day, and a lot of people like that. But me, well, I'm a different kind of dog. My name's Elizabeth and I'm a very sweet, quiet English Setter. I had a home for many years, but, when I started to go deaf, it became a problem because there were small children in my home who didn't know how to approach me without startling me. (I did great with a 12-year-old, though.) So, what I'm looking for is the kind of home that can appreciate my quiet, snuggly, calm manner. I'm very loving, housebroken and I'm not much trouble to have around. 		Enyo Female American Pit Bull Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi! I am Enyo, a very cute and outgoing pittie pup, looking for a forever home. 		Foxy Female Shih Tzu Currently living in foster care Hi! I am Foxy, a very cute and mellow, black and white Shih Tzu. Due to some difficulties in my past, I am completely blind. My eyes needed to be removed, due to severe glaucoma. Despite my handicap, I get around very well so don't feel sorry for me! I do great with other animals and am seeking a home with at least one other dog who can show me the ropes around my new house. I am housetrained, quiet and love to be talked to and petted. 		Georgia Female Coonhound Currently living in foster care Hey! I'm Georgia, a sweet little girl about six months old. I think I'm mostly some kind of hound. I look very much like a beagle, but I have this pretty, dark red coat and I'm a little taller than a beagle. I came from a situation in Waseca where a person had too many animals and couldn't take care of us. I apparently didn't have much contact with people. I am also very skinny, so it seems like maybe other dogs pushed me out of the way at feeding time. I was recently in a foster home to work on my self-confidence with people. At the foster home, I had two dogs who are used to the good life showing me how to live it. They have showed me the right place to go to the bathroom and they have told me that people are OK, too. So far, I will take treats from people I have learned to trust, like my foster lady. I am doing my best to adjust to my new life. I know it's going to take some time for me to be the perfect pet, but I am a very sweet girl and want to meet someone who will help me be the cuddly friend I really am. 		Gretel Female Australian Cattle Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hey! I'm Gretel, a very sweet, friendly and active girl. I am happy and playful with people of all ages and other animals. I have been adopted twice from the Ark, and returned. The first time my owner had health issues and could not care for me. The second time I came back because I just get too excited when I see other dogs pass by my house or walk by me when I am on leash. I seem to get overly excited and make quite a fuss. 		Jesse Male Labrador Retriever Mix Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hey! I'm Jesse, a medium sized Black Lab mix boy. I came to Animal Ark from an impound facility, as my owner did not come and claim me. I was pretty timid when I first got here but I am much more comfortable and outgoing, now that I am used to my surroundings. I do well with other dogs but do not have any history with children or cats. I walk well on leash and love to have my tummy rubbed! I am already neutered and ready to find my forever home! 		Kramer Male Basset Hound Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hey there! I'm Kramer, an adorable Basset Hound mix. I was adopted for a day, but the family cat looked like more fun than I could resist, so the family had to return me to the shelter. I am a very nice guy and really liked the people I was with. It's hard to understand why I'm back here, but I hope that I'll find some new people to call my forever family, soon. My perfect new home would have people who are familiar with dogs and our language, as I can sometimes be possessive of my treats and toys. I cannot go to a home with kids and I should not try living with a cat again, but other dogs are good company. I AM NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. 		Louie Male Bichon Frise Currently living at the Hastings shelter I am a very nice, little guy who is seeking a very special home. I am diabetic, so I get insulin twice each day. However, I don't mind and it really isn't a big deal. I like to play with other dogs and have lived with children. I do okay with children, over the age of 10, who are respectful of me and my toys. I was recently adopted from Animal Ark but was returned for being too protective of my people and my food. I need more time, stability and attention than my previous family could give me. 		Lucy Female Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi! My name is Lucy! I'm a black and white, older dog, but you wouldn't know my age by how I love to play. In fact, I'm told it was hard to get a photo of me, because I couldn't stop playing with my ball long enough to look at the camera (must be the Labrador in me!)! I'm playful with children, but I do jump on people in all my playfulness. I'm tolerant with cats but am choosy with my dog friends. I have played with another dog here, so it would be possible for me to live with another dog. My family of ten years left me and I'm anxious and sad at this time. 		Lucy 4 Female Bichon Frise Currently living in foster care Hello. I'm Lucy, a petite, quiet, easygoing Bichon. I was originally adopted from Animal Ark several years ago. I have been returned because one of my owners passed away and the other is no longer able to care for me. I do well with cats, and I am tolerant of other dogs, but I'm not playful with them. 		Maria Female Airedale Terrier Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hello! I'm Maria, a somewhat shy, but friendly, wirehaired Terrier mix. I came to the Ark from the Red Lake Reservation. I was discovered at the dump, with my two puppies. I am an easygoing and gentle gal who does well with other dogs. I have no experience with cats or children. I do tend to startle easily, so a home with older kids and adults might be best for me. I am pretty much housebroken now, and I know how to "kennel up". I also know the commands sit and stay. I was surrendered to Animal Ark because I was unable to live peacefully with small children. Children do really scare me, so I am seeking a home without them. I am housebroken and walk well on leash. I do require to be walked on a harness because of an old neck injury. My previous injury does sometimes flare up, but Animal Ark has found a treatment that can give me relief. 		Moose Male Pug/Beagle Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hey! I'm Moose, a friendly and easy going "Puggle". I was adopted from Animal Ark and returned because I did not do well with the infant in the home. I would probably do best as the only animal at your house, as I do enjoy chasing cats and can have some issues with other dogs, if not properly introduced. I was originally adopted from Animal Ark as a puppy and was recently returned, as my owners stated they did not have adequate time for me. I am housebroken, crate trained and love to be outside with people. I weigh just over 100 pounds and am seeking an experienced dog owner who is looking for a big bundle of energy. I love to play with other dogs, but have no experience with cats. I am friendly and playful with people I know well, but do require a slow introduction to new people. I AM NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. 		Orion Male Husky Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi. I am Orion, a very gentle and mellow, Husky mix boy. I am a larger guy, weighing in at seventy six pounds. I have two mostly brown eyes, However, one of my eyes does have a fleck of sky blue in it. I am in pretty good health, compared to some of my siblings, and am seeking a "retirement" home where I can spend the rest of my days being safe, indoors. Over this past winter I was homeless, along with my owner, surviving on whatever we could to sustain life. I appear to do well with most other dogs but am agressive with cats. 		Paco Male Labrador Retriever Mix/Newfoundland Currently living in foster care I am a very large guy, looking for a forever home. My previous guardian, my dog sibling and I were in a bad car accident and the truck caught on fire. Sadly, my person did not survive but we did, albeit, I have burn scars that will never go away. Because I didn't have anywhere to go following all of that trauma, a nice couple provided me with a safe haven. My "foster dad" is now having health problems and two large dogs have gotten to be too difficult to care for, so he brought me to the Ark. I hope to find a home quickly! YIPPEE!! I'm a big, strong boy, weighing in at about 70 pounds. I am kennel trained and housebroken, too! I lived with teenage children and am good with some other dogs. If you already have a dog, an introduction would be a must. My previous owner says I would definitely be the alpha dog in a multiple dog home. My favorite thing is to play fetch with balls. 		Tank Male Labrador Retriever Mix Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hey! I'm Tank, a handsome, 70 pound, Black Lab mix. I was originally adopted from Animal Ark when I was a puppy. My owners had to return me because of changes in their living situation. I am nervous around new people, so I will need a patient and loving home that can help me get comfortable. I have no experience with children and would probably do best as the only pet in the home. A fenced yard would be a real plus, because I do have a tendency to run if I am loose. I am a larger dog, weighing sixty-seven pounds, and have the double coat traditional to my breed. I do have some vision loss in my left eye and am currently receiving treatment to my affected eye. I am an older gal who is seeking a quiet "retirement" home to spend the rest of my years. I have experience with other dogs but am aggressive with cats. 		Yogi Male Spaniel Currently living at the Hastings shelter Hi. I am Yogi, a mellow and gentle, Spaniel mix breed dog. I weigh sixty-five pounds and enjoy walking. Unfortunately I don't tend to do well with any other dogs. I do not have any experience with cats. And it appears that I would not be good with children. I came to the Animal Ark after spending the winter homeless, with my owner, living off of whatever we could to sustain life. I am now seeking a mature home where I can spend my "retirement" years.
