Helping animals find new families

Each year, Animal Ark cares for and finds new homes for nearly 1,000 pets. As a no-kill facility, Animal Ark will not end the life of a pet in our care unless it is terminally ill, or it is deemed a serious danger to people. Each pet we see is screened for potentially fatal illnesses, vaccinated, dewormed, provided with flea and tick prevention, microchipped and spayed or neutered. Additionally, we provide each pet with daily care, including food, water, training, socialization and medical care as needed until a new home can be found for them.

On average, Animal Ark spends nearly $400 on every animal we take in, which is why our shelter operates at a financial deficit of nearly $300,000 annually. Your financial support helps us to offset that deficit and to operate our other innovative programs.
