It angers and saddens me that the people ( if you want to call them that) get away with this. I could go on and on about how pissed I am but choose not to. I wish I were a judge and could sentence people like this to live in these conditions for years to come. I hope that the justice system will realize that all life is not human but it is just as important.

Please quit breeding puppies. All of my dogs have come from rescue agencies. All of them have (after some time and training) turned out to be wonderful, adorable companions. Rescue a dog. Don't buy a puppy. Adult dogs are less work in most respects than puppies. Roxie, Dexture and Bunny are all registered and costed pennies on the dollar in comparison to a puppy. And if truth be told I have rescued mixed breeds before and they make even better dogs - less health problems.

This mills are the main reason I nor any of my family or friends will ever adopt an animal from a pet store such as the ones you find in the malls. you know the ones you can "finance"!! Just horrible!!! These people should be put away for a very long time!!!!!!!!

This harmless little animals are being bred in such bad conditions. Thats so sad, they have feelings too. What the H E L L is wrong with the people who run these mills. In 2006 I adopted a pup who came from Happy Tails puppy mill in Little Falls, MN. He is now 3 years old and is traumatized for life. He was taken away too early and shipped in a cardboard box to a mall pet shop in southern California - alone, unfed and unwatered. He was bought and then dumped off to a rescue group shortly afterwards, and eventually came to my home. We love and care for him but he is damaged for life. If not for the rescue group, he would be dead. He'll never get over the fear & panic.

I am actually sitting here crying for these poor little helpless animals wishing I could help them all. The more I read the more I think how how out of whack and how heartless this country is and how quick we are to make a dollar. These people who do this to helpless animals will someday come to judgement day and realize they will not be judged favorably because these animals they are killing and abusing are god's creatures too!!! I saw the older post about someone having a Yorkie that cant bark. This is very common practice with breeder dogs at puppy mills. They usually kill them when they cant breed anymore but some lucky ones get rescued when the dirtbags get shut down. My Dru is from a puppy mill(all 3 of my dogs are --dachshunds) and she had her vocal cords broken and yes they use a pipe. My dru is still terrified of men--well they all are. One is missing part of her ear and they all have bad teeth from being fed crap food.It took them months not to freak out at every sound and kids and cats and new people since they usually are sitting in a cage 24/7/ This often makes dogs go insane too.

I am looking at these photo's of clear abuse and neglect, yet my question is who took these photo's and never came back to take away these dogs. If l ever come across a mill I will not leave till these dogs are taking away from these mills, I will call all the family and friends I know in this world to save these poor animals. Is this place still in business or what? I think that puppie mills are very meen and people that dont care about there animals should be in JAIL. I found this site because I am reasearching for a school project.I am outraged that anyone could treat an animal this way!My dog came from a breeder and has many health problems such as seizures and he dosen't bark! I dont know why I would even want to look at something like this. I have 2 Boston Terriers of my own. Both I bought from "breeders". HTey were shipped to me so I never saw the conditions they came from. Thankfully they are healthy wonderful animals. Puppyfind.com is a terrible place riddled with puppy millers wanting to make a quick buck. For you to say it is any different is just mind blowing...you, yourself bought your frenchie from a puppy mill so please save the act for someone who doesnt know any better!

Would someone give me just a small brake here. I am really tired of people blaming puppyfind for things like puppymills or scams. They just provide a service. It is our resposibillity as consumers to do our homework and protect ourselves. I have just recently purchased my third dog through puppyfind. They have come from all over the U.S. Without the service of puppyfind I can't imagine how hard it would have been to find them. All of my dogs came from responsible breeders, and they are all in excellent health. Once again here is the general public wanting to pass the buck. There are bad people out there and they are gonna use whatever outlets available to do what they do. It is in no way the fault of a website. Puppyfind is NOT a bad site!!!!!!

I think that puppymills are so overrated. I don't know myself why our country has still allowed this to go on. I am a proud owner of an american bulldog, and i saw the pictures, it is dispicible. I just wish that we had no more puppymills.

I just rescued a Yorkie from a Maryland Rescue organization. They told me she had been in a crate for 5 years and was a breeder dog. Also they told me she doesn't bark. I have heard since about what they do to dogs to stop them from barking. They shove a pipe down their throat and damage the larynyx. Has anyone heard about this. I can't believe the horror a dog goes thru if this is done.

These people that do this to animals should be in those cages instead not them. I know not to go to a pet store anymore. Cause 99.9 percent of dogs & cats come from puppie mills that are sold at pet store. We need to stop then from doing this to these poor animals.

Last year for Christmas I bought a pug from a pet store called Puppy Love. The pug was not even 8 weeks old yet. He was a christmas present for my 6 year old son. Well, needless to say this dog became the highlight of our lives...loveable, sweet, funny. He was my sons best friend. A week and a half ago we found out our pug had luekemia and probably did from when he was a baby. Well this morning our pug died and my son is devastated at having lost his best buddy. I can not stop crying. I vow never to buy a puppy from a pet store again.

This is so disturbing, but at least people are more aware of what can go on at a puppy mill. About ten years ago I saw a ad in the newspaper that said "purebred shetie puppies sable. female $100.00 male $50.00 Being a poor college student I drove from Duluth to somewhere around Little Falls Mn. The place was literally in the middle of no where. When I arrived at what looked to be a large farm, I met a fairly heavy set woman and an olderly man. They told me to come with them to pick out my puppy. The sight of what I saw when those barn doors opened still haunt me to this day. I saw at least 400 shelties in little cages all over the barn! The barking was so loud and I was so scared I just wanted to get it over with. There were so many puppies to pick from I didn't know which to pick! There were like 60 sheltie puppies in various ages in cages. I finally just picked to cutest one that was closest to the front of the cage. The female dogs were not your typical looking shelties! They looked wierd! Anyway, the dog I picked had obviously never been held. He was scared to death. I paid my fifty bucks and got my papers for the dogs. My dog which I named peanut. ( way undersized for his age) was very sick. He was infested with worms and he had to be treated several times. He was a timid dog always shook and peed because he was so scared. He died from a brain tumor. I realize I was young and stupid. ( I was only 17) and I would never ever buy from a pet store or a puupy mill again. This puppy mill is disgusting. It needs to be shut down. They had over 400 dogs in 1997! Imagine how many they have now. The conditions these dogs are in are terrible. Please someone shut this puppy mill down!

What is a puppy mill? It's like being on death row without committing a crime. The scourge of the dog world, puppy mills breed misery.... Puppy mills are run by people that are warts on the ass of society. We need to not just sit here and make comments or cry about this. These people don't care about animals so why, you ask, are they in the animal business? Let me tell you, they are RAPISTS for money. It is truly heartbreaking to see these animals. In response to why the humane societies cant do anything about it is because they are already overfilled, and they cant bring 200+ animals into their place at once. There needs to be a new shelter just for puppy mill dogs. HUA does that, but they are in nebraska. You can go to their website, hua.org, (hearts united for animals) and maybe call them. If we make people aware of the cruelty and abuse and injustice, eventually they will be shut down.

puppy mills are disgusting and I wish that there was something more to be done. It seems like not enough people even know that a lot of dogs live in these conditions and folks that aren't "dog" people are appalled by this. I do not understand how some one can be so crewl and mean to do the things that these people have done to these animals. It hurts me and make me SICK to see animals in that kind of invirment and condition. We are supost to take care of our them, not kill them!

Don't know what all your beliefs are, but it is a great consolation to know that even if we are as helpless as we can be in this matter, these people will stand before their creator and give an account for all the unjust and grotesque things they have done.

I also purchased a puppy from a pet shop I trusted. I later found out that she was from a puppy mill in Minnesota. We now face two major surgeries because our puppy has hip dysplasia. We will do it so she can have a good life. We love her dearly, however, had we known she was from a puppy mill would not have purchased her. We have asked the pet shop to stop buying from this person. We pray that they will listen.

I have just learned that I purchased a puppy from a mill in Minn. She was a gift from Santa to my 3 young kids and we are now facing some serious health issues. I purchased with my heart without using my head. I am now doing research to find out what I can do using both my head and heart to stop these mills from continuing the killing, abuse and dishonesty. This is terribly sad.

My husband subcontracts out and does deliveries for a certain retailer. they received an order for 29 window air conditioning units. I've heard vaguely about a puppy mill that was being built outside of Little Falls, MN. It was a hot summer day when we reached our delivery site, a no tespassing sign was out on a wire fence. When we reached the house which was an old farm site, no one was around, I heard the garage door close, so I went in, there in front of me were about 300 dogs in wire crates, one on another 4 high, inside were poor dogs barking no food or water in the crates, 1 industrial fan and no windows open, the smell was unbeliveable and the barking almost deafening. I never seen such a site in my life. Like many other people have said you can call the humane society and though they want to help, its out of there hands. thats why legislation has to get involved!!!

I wish there was something I could do to help these poor suffering animals.

We were looking for a Yorkie and got the name of a "breeder" in Shakopee. Surprisingly we were allowed to view the dogs. Several were in pens with no water and it was hot. The were weaving back and forth or had neurotic behavior. We saw the mother of this pup. The mom had afterbirth from her behind that had never been cleaned and the pup was 8 weeks old. They had to walk on wire cages and I asked to see where the mom and pups were but were not allowed. She also had stacks of cages on top of each other packed with dog and the barking was chaotic. I asked if they were ever out to run and was told no. This was a farm in Shakopee MN. I called the humane society and was told there was not much they could do because the police or Sherrif wouldn't help. I was so saddened and wished I could have bought every dog she had and give them good homes. It's sad when dollars mean more than a kind touch and loving home for a pet.

What kind of person would let this kinda thing go on? Theses dogs at the puppy mill need love and atention and also medical treatment. It is sickening that people do this to animals. They should be forced to live in these conditions as a punishment. It's disgraceful and shocking that this goes on in a civilized country!

The human beings who run the puppy mills are horid. They have no respect for the puppys keeping them confined in contaminated areas and giving them disgusting food and water. It's a diaster area for parsites and the puppys have to live in it. It's sad that the men or woman who operate these mills are to lazy to keep the cages and pens clean. If they can't keep it sanitized they shouldn't run them. Complete laziness is the key word here to the dirty pens where the puppy's are kept. The government should take part and say either clean it up or lock it up. They should close down the mills and people should start going to the humane society or dog pounds. Their are great dogs waiting to find a good home. You'll be saving two lives at once, you'll be saving the dog you decide to take home from the pound and you'll put the puppy mills down one mill at a time. If we all get together to stop this cruelity, maybe one day the puppy mills will have to shut down. Oh, and hopefully, the government gives the people who run the puppy mills a really big fine, or jail. Then they could see how it is to live in crud!

These pictures tell it all. These people should have to live in the filth for a week atleast. Feed them and treat them the same way. What am I saying I'll bet there homes are the same filth they force there animals to live in. I would trust my dog before any human being, all they bring you is love, and companionship. I hope that one day there is an end to puppymills, unfortunately I don't think it will be in the near future. I have witnessed these places in person while helping with a seizure in Northern MN and the people who do these things see nothing wrong with it and it is usually how they support themselves. The only way to make $$ raising dogs is to do it the wrong way like puppy mills do. Puppy Mills sell 95% of there puppies through pet shops, people need to stop buying from pet shops and with no place for them to sell puppies they will be forced to slowly shut down one by one. Puppy mills are the cruelest places I can think of!!! I don't even understand how someone could go on with thier normal lives knowing that they are torturing those adorable puppies. Puppy mills need to be stopped. If they never get stopped then the dog population could decrease dramaticly. I think that even the people who are allergic to dogs wouldn't want that to happen!!(by the way if you are allergic to dogs, I'm sorry). This is a very serious issue. I know for a fact that you want to do something. So do it!! You may be able to do something. I am in a G/T(gifted and talented) class and I am reasearching this subject. We had to write to somebody, and I wrote to President Bush. He is someone who can make a law or something. So if you think that is a good idea then get his address and write to him. But it goes to his writers and if it's good enough then put it on his desk. So do something about it and help those adorable(or not so adorable because they aren't bathed) pupies have a better life!!!

Well I look at these pictures and I see the face of a dog looking for help! How can people go on with their day knowing there animals are living in these deploarable conditions? I'm only 12yrs old but in the end I now this all comes down to mony and greed. Hey! but what goes around comes around so these people will meet there consiquence sooner or later! These animals give a love that doesn't stop to count what they do for us, why can't they be treated the same way?

With that in mind, my heart goes out to the pomeranian mom and her pups. I see fear for pups, yet she is looking at you for hope. How I wish I was there to take her and her pups from that place.

I look at these pictures, and I think, " this can't be real. This has to be some sort of aberration, some worst case examples of an otherwise moderately well regulated industry." But I know in my heart that's not so. These types of conditions are common and pervasive. What manner of depraved 'human being' would treat another animal that way? This industry should be outlawed nation wide and the operaters of such dumps, forced to live in similar conditions for a good long time!

I am very outraged by these photos. These are real pictures and this is reality. These mills need to be stopped. Animals are living breathing beings with feelings. They feel pain as a human can. They are so neglected and unloved and the U.S.D.A. is supposed to regulate these facilities. Nothing is being done. These poor animals and living in unsanitary conditions and not being provided with needed veterinary care either. I don't know if we can stop these Puppy Mills from exsisiting but we can do our very best to try to put an end to this for good. Whe, are people need to speak out more, write our local congress or govenor and write the U.S.D.A and tell them that they are not doing their job. The Animal Welfare Act in also not being enforced good enough. We, the people need to speak up for those that cannot speak for themselves. The poor defenseless animals that are living like this. They need our voices to make a differnce, to save their lives from this misery and pain. We need to do our best to make a commitment to them and promise to fight for their rights. To promise that we can make a difference, if we speak up and speak loud on their behalf. No one is speaking up enough. These mills are still operating and the animals are suffering so greatly. We cannot ignore this issue, this is life, this is what is going on and what the people aren't talking about. We need to further address this issue and quickly. A minute of their lives may feel like a lifetime with the pain and suffering they are enduring and we have to help those who cannot help themselves, so please speak out and speak loud.

The United States is supposed to be good, Honestly I don't know how the United States of America can tolerate this! These are living breathing cretures made by our good lord in heaven! Criminals that kill innocent people and children are treated and housed and get better medical care than these animals. I don't get it. Where has our government gone wrong! The government needs to provide funding to these shelters and rescues and humane societies who take care of these animals, and give them full right and start giving these animal abuser life in prison for the pain and suffering that they have caused these animals! These animals feel pain every single day that they have to live like this.

Everyone ... although my instincts told me I'd be better off not having the excruciatingly painful images of the puppy mills in my mind, I looked anyway. It is absolutely devastating to my soul to see such horrible cruelty to such sweet, innocent, helpless animals. I think the real reason I looked was to put even more motivation in me to work as hard as I possibly can to put an end to animal cruelty. I believe that the good LORD will take all of the mistreated animals in the world in his arms one day and that the humans who mistreated them will see justice. God is good, and there is no way that he would just "let" such horrible things happen without eventually bringing justice for the evil, and peace for the innocent and hurting. Dear Lord, please give us the strength, courage, and ability to change the world and put a stop to animal cruelty. Amen!

It's digusting that anyone could go to a breeder or pet store to adopt an animal and perpetuate this awful industry that treats animals like objects.

I can't believe a place like this can exist! Anyone who knows someone on an investigative news team should urge them to find these mills and report them on tv so all who watch will be able to see the inhumane way these animals are existing. People who "run" these mills should be incarcerated to the fullest extent. What can we do to help? How can this be?

As a mastiff and small dog owner alike... I know these animals NEED to be near people... especially any bully breeds...they are truely Big mushies! My heart is bleeding! I did forward a note about the puppy mill about to open to a TV reporting team.

I live in Morrison county by Little Falls Mn , they have just O`kd a 600 count puppy Mill its amazing that our congressmen would let this happen . The man that is opening this I guess also has a 800 count puppy mill in cushing Mn. with all the unwanted puppies in this world this is so sad.

It is really a very bad situation. Laws need to change so they can't do this any more.

I can hardly believe that this is going on. I really know nothing about puppy mills...or any other animal mills for that matter. Some brief education would be helpful on your site. What kind of people are doing this and for what purpose?! It breaks my heart to see this.

The monsters running this horror must be deaf dumb and blind or otherwise just a complete a**. Hope someone locks him or her in one of those filthy enclosures to drink that disgusting water, and be stuck with those filthy needles and contaminated medicine.
