OK. It may sound a bit cliche, but it is true. What you sow, you also reap. What goes around, does, in deed, come around. Call it Karma or anything else you like. Kindness does breed more kindness.

In a World in which people seem to be increasingly self-absorbed, and at a time filled with stress and strife, a little act of kindness can't hurt.

Kindness Cards are a fun way to help spread joy. The idea is really simple. Perform a random act of kindness, one that is simple, easy and that requires little effort, and then pass one of these cards on to the recipient of that act.

What you do to pass along a kindness card is entirely up to you. The trick it so have as much fun as possible when passing on a card.

Imagine ordering a cup of your favorite Java at your neighborhood coffee shop, then being told by the clerk that someone has paid for your coffee, and then being handed a kindness card. Think of how you would feel receiving an anonymous gift with a kindness card enclosed.

Kindness gestures may be large or small, and may be given anonymously or in person. Only one thing is sure - the only thing more fun than getting a kindness card unexpectedly is giving one.

Animal Ark decided to print and distribute Kindness Cards after reading about a growing Kindness Revolution spreading across the globe. Since we are all about spreading kindness, we ask you to be open minded, and to have fun. Print some Kindness Cards, then use your creativity to spread them around.

Then, feel free to post your experiences here!

I work retail, and some of my customers making returns are VERY difficult, often yelling and making scenes in our store. However, these people are required to fill out a slip with personal information in order to get a refund. I get their addresses and send them copies of my favorite CDs, with a kindness card. I write on the package, "This is a random act of kindness," and I don't leave a return address. I hope it cheers up some of those angry people!

What a great idea. I have done and enjoy the occasional random act of kindness, but it is nice to have something to pass on to someone else. I will definitely be using these! :)

I found out yesterday afternoon that one of the cards I gave out was recycled and reused 3 times in one day in one coffee shop. How fun is that?!

It is true - kindness is contageous.

I was at Mother Earth Gardens in South Minneapolis and gave the cashier a $5 bill and a card, and asked her to give it to the next person to check out.

I think the cashier had as much fun as we did! And the woman who got the card thought it was so inspiring!

I gave out my first kindness card today. It was fun. Being not all that creative, I took the suggestion of paying for coffee. I got mine, then gave the card to the cashier, and paid double and tipped double. I asked him to pick someone else in line, and to buy their coffee, and to give them the card. At first they looked at me like I was from Mars. Then they smiled and took the card.

As I was in another part of the shop adding sugar and cream, I heard a small outburst. A customer was just given their free coffee and the card.

It was so simple and nice. It made me smile the rest of the day.
