Sponsoring a Pet
One way to show you care is to sponsor a pet on the Animal Ark Web Site.

Because Animal Ark is a no-kill shelter, our costs for each animal are much higher than at a more traditional shelter. Additionally, because we will not euthanize animals to make room for new animals, we see fewer potential donors coming to our shelter. For these and other reasons, it is vitally important to Animal Ark that those who believe in our no-kill philosophy help to support our animals. The fees we charge for rehoming pets do not come close to covering the costs of their food, housing and medical care. You can demonstrate your compassion by sponsoring one or more of our animals.

When you sponsor an animal, you are making a charitable donation to Animal Ark while showing your concern for animals. You may choose to have your name listed on the animal's web page, or you may elect to sponsor the animal privately. In either case you are showing that you support responsible pet ownership through your contribution.

As a Sponsor you will receive periodic email giving you updated information about the animal(s) you have chosen to support.

To sponsor a pet, just click the "Shelter" link on our navigation bar then look through the animals at the shelter. When you find an animal you would like to sponsor, click the "Sponsor This Pet" button at the top of that animal's web page. It is secure, easy and very much appreciated!

On average, it takes a group of about 4 - 5 sponsors for each animal to cover their food, housing and medical care. So if you see an animal you would like to sponsor, and that pet already has a sponsor, do not let that discourage you. Any pet can have an unlimited number of sponsors!
