Zipcode where the animal was found: W. River Parkway & 29th, Minneapolis Specific location where found or last seen: Date found: 7/19/2010 Species: Cats Breed: orange tabby Description (please include any identifying markings): Last night--Monday, July 19th--the friendliest little dusty orange tabby cat approached me out of the woods as I was walking along W. River Parkway at 29th. I picked him up, and he immediately began to purr. He was very thin; his ribs and collarbone made sharp points under his pelt. I set him down and continued walking. He came after me, mewing faintly, and followed me for nearly a mile to my destination. At home, I gave him a good meal and lots of love but I could not bring him in the house. I've left food and water outside for him, as well as a soft bed in a shady place for napping. He's been hanging out in my backyard since last night, leaving periodically but coming back for more food and ear scratches. If I could take in another cat, I surely would be glad to have this affectionate boy share my home, but alas, I'm full up. If he is yours, he's undoubtedly very much missed. Please call, and I will do my best to get him back to you. (In the meantime, I am pursuing placement at area no-kill shelters.)
